Account and sign-in
Help with email/password, Google, Apple Sign-In, profile information, and account deletion.
I cannot sign in to my account.
Make sure you are using the same VICI account and sign-in method you originally used. VICI supports email/password, Google, and Apple Sign-In. Check your internet connection, close and reopen the app, and install the newest available VICI version.
If Apple or Google sign-in succeeds at the provider but VICI still does not recognize the account, email admin@vici-app.com and include the sign-in method, device model, operating-system version, and VICI app version. Do not send your password.
Why does VICI say my Google or Apple account is not an existing VICI account?
Social sign-in is tied to the VICI account and onboarding state associated with that login. If the social account has not completed VICI account setup, the app may reject that sign-in instead of creating a second or incomplete account automatically.
If you believe you already completed setup with that exact sign-in, contact support so we can help you identify the correct account path.
How do I change my profile or training preferences?
Open the Profile tab in VICI. From there you can manage your training identity and available settings such as experience, training setup, equipment, limitations, workout preferences, appearance, coaching notifications, and other editable onboarding information.
Some changes affect future planning or adaptive decisions rather than rewriting a workout that is already in progress.
How do I change my profile picture?
Open your Profile and choose the avatar/profile-image control. VICI will request photo-library access only when needed for the image you choose to upload.
How do I delete my account?
Use the account-deletion option inside VICI, or follow the instructions at vici-app.com/delete-account. If you cannot access the app, email admin@vici-app.com from the email associated with your VICI account.
Plans, workouts and adaptive coaching
VICI can generate plans, save manual plans, guide active workouts, and evaluate future training from the work you actually complete.
How does VICI build my workout plan?
VICI uses the training information you provide—such as your goal, experience, preferred days, available session length, training setup, equipment, recent frequency, and limitations—to build a structured plan. Depending on backend capability and plan type, the app can use its adaptive planning system or a deterministic fallback.
You can also create and save your own manual plans from the Plan tab.
Why did VICI propose a change to my workout target?
Adaptive changes can be based on recorded performance, recovery information, plan context, equipment, scheduling, and other supported training signals. VICI records structured reasons and supporting evidence for adaptive decisions rather than silently changing a validated plan.
When a decision requires your input, review it in the prescription/decision review flow and accept or reject the proposed change where that option is available. Safety-related actions may take priority over progression.
Can I edit my workout plan myself?
Manual plans can be created and edited in the Plan tab. Validated adaptive plans are intentionally protected from casual in-place editing; meaningful changes to those plans go through VICI's versioned decision and review workflows so the training history remains auditable.
What should I do if I cannot perform an exercise?
Use the substitution/replacement controls in the workout when available. You can also skip a set when appropriate. If the issue is pain or a physical concern, use Pain or concern? rather than treating it like a normal preference change.
What does the “Pain or concern?” button do?
It opens VICI's structured safety flow for the current exercise. Pain and safety information is treated as higher priority than progression. Depending on the situation, VICI can stop affected work, record the concern, prevent unsafe pending changes from taking precedence, and preserve the decision history.
VICI is not a medical service. For significant or concerning symptoms, stop exercising and seek appropriate medical care.
Can I shorten a workout if I have less time?
During supported workouts, use the Shorten control. VICI is designed to treat available session time as a real planning constraint rather than simply expecting every user to finish the original session regardless of time.
How do rest timers work?
Rest timing is part of the active workout flow. VICI maintains the workout's rest-timer state and can surface native timer alerts so you do not have to keep the app visually open for every second of the rest period.
Progress, workout history and skill tree
Progress is calculated from logged training evidence rather than only from what a plan prescribed.
My progress data looks incorrect.
First confirm that the workout was completed and that the sets, repetitions, resistance/weight, and units were logged correctly. Check whether VICI is displaying pounds or kilograms.
If a completed workout can be edited from its review screen, correct the entry there. If the value still looks wrong, email admin@vici-app.com with the exercise name, workout date, expected value, displayed value, device type, and VICI version.
What does VICI track in Progress?
Depending on your activity, VICI can show completed workouts and sets, total volume, average duration, streaks, recent workouts, best sets, strength trends by exercise, estimated 1RM/best-weight/volume views, muscle-group progress, weekly muscle-set targets, body-weight history, and calendar-based workout history.
Why is a completed workout missing from Workout History?
Workout History is based on saved completed-session records. Confirm the workout was submitted/completed rather than left paused or unfinished. Reopen the app to refresh the history view. If the session still does not appear, contact support with the date, approximate time, and workout name.
How does the VICI skill tree work?
The skill tree tracks six strength routes: Chest, Back, Bicep, Tricep, Shoulders, and Legs. Each route progresses through ranks using evidence from qualifying completed sets, including exercise/sub-area coverage and performance context.
Why did my skill-tree rank not increase after one workout?
A rank may require more than a single strong set. VICI evaluates qualifying exercise evidence, required sub-areas, equipment context, best samples, confidence, and any blockers for that route. Open the route detail to see the current unlock standard and what evidence is still missing.
VICI Assistant and AI features
VICI separates conversational AI from the rules that are allowed to change your training.
What can I ask the VICI Assistant?
You can use the Assistant for general training questions such as exercise technique, fitness concepts, or other supported coaching questions. It is a freeform conversation surface rather than the authoritative record of your workout plan.
Can the VICI Assistant see or change everything in my account?
No. The freeform Assistant is intentionally separated from live app data and plan mutation. It does not automatically receive unrestricted access to your account or silently rewrite your active workout plan because of something said in chat.
What is AI plan analysis?
VICI can use AI-assisted analysis to review a manual or supported active plan and present recommendations. Where a recommendation can affect training, VICI still uses structured outputs and deterministic validation before a meaningful plan change is accepted.
Why can an AI answer differ from an adaptive decision?
They serve different roles. A conversational AI answer can be flexible and explanatory. Adaptive training decisions use VICI's structured data, reason codes, evidence, confidence, safety rules, and validation workflows. The adaptive decision system—not freeform chat text—is the authoritative path for supported automatic plan changes.
What should I do if an AI answer looks wrong?
Do not rely on an answer that seems unsafe, inconsistent, or inappropriate for your circumstances. You can start a new chat, provide clearer context, or contact support. For anything involving pain, injury, or medical symptoms, use appropriate professional medical guidance rather than relying on AI output.
Notifications and workout timers
Notification behavior can depend on both VICI settings and operating-system permissions.
I am not receiving VICI notifications.
Check VICI's coaching-notification settings in your Profile and confirm notifications are allowed for VICI in your phone's system settings. On Android, notification channels can also affect which alerts are permitted.
I did not receive a rest-timer alert.
Make sure notifications are enabled and that VICI is allowed to show the relevant timer alerts. If the timer itself still appears correct in the active workout but the native alert does not, include your device model, OS version, and VICI version when contacting support.
Can I turn coaching notifications off?
Yes. Use the coaching-notification preferences available from your Profile. You can also change VICI's broader notification permission through your device settings.
Appearance and app display
VICI supports its dark navy experience and a cream/light appearance.
How do I switch between dark mode and light mode?
Open your Profile and change the appearance/theme preference. VICI stores the selected appearance so it can be restored the next time the app opens.
The interface looks cut off or incorrectly sized.
Install the newest available VICI build and restart the app. If the issue remains, send support a screenshot along with your device model, operating-system version, display/text-size settings if changed from default, and VICI version.
Subscriptions and billing
For any VICI purchase processed through Apple or Google, the store account used for the purchase controls billing and subscription management.
How do I manage or cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription?
If your VICI access includes a subscription purchased through Apple App Store or Google Play, manage or cancel it from the subscription settings of the same store account used for purchase. Deleting the VICI app or deleting a VICI account does not by itself cancel a store-managed subscription.
How do I request a refund for an app-store purchase?
Refund decisions for purchases processed by Apple or Google are handled through the applicable store's purchase-support process. VICI support can help identify account or access issues, but we cannot see or receive your full payment-card information.
A purchase is not reflected in my VICI account.
Confirm you are signed into the correct VICI account and the same Apple/Google store account used for the purchase. Reopen the app and, if the current build provides a restore-purchases control, use it. If access still does not update, email support with the purchase platform and transaction date. Do not send full payment-card details.
Privacy requests
For access, correction, deletion, or other privacy requests, email admin@vici-app.com. We may need to verify that the request relates to your account before processing it.
Where can I read VICI's Privacy Policy?
The current policy is available at vici-app.com/privacy. It describes the account, workout, plan, progress, AI, notification, profile, and other information used by the current VICI service.
Does VICI sell my personal information?
No. VICI's current privacy policy states that personal information is not sold and is not used for cross-app behavioral advertising.
Fitness and safety
Does VICI account for limitations or injuries?
VICI can collect limitations/injury-area information and limitation preferences during onboarding or profile editing and can use that information in supported training behavior. Missing limitation information is treated as unconfirmed rather than automatically assumed to mean “no limitations.”
Is VICI medical advice?
No. VICI provides general fitness information, workout planning, tracking, and coaching tools. Exercise suitability depends on your health, experience, technique, equipment, environment, and other factors. Consult an appropriate healthcare or fitness professional when needed.
